Initial consultation

Before we get started, we will need to meet with you to discuss your requirements.  Once we have an in-depth understanding of your situation, we can work out the best way to proceed. The initial consultation is a valuable opportunity for you to ask questions, discuss your concerns, and get an idea of the options available to you.

What it will cost
We offer a fixed fee initial consultation of $150 (including GST) for new clients.  Payment is to be made at the time of the consultation (please note that our office does not have credit card or eftpos facilities).

What you should bring
You should bring with you photocopies of any documentation you think may be relevant – such as correspondence, invoices, agreements.  We will let you know if we need anything else.  Please also bring your photo ID (eg driver's licence, passport).

What happens next
Following the initial consultation, we will provide you with either a fixed fee proposal or a cost estimate.  We aim to provide a fixed quote whenever we can, but this is not always possible. We don't take a "one size fits all" approach. Everyone's situation is unique and requires a personalised solution, so it can sometimes be difficult to fix a price. We will always discuss your options with you and give you an estimate of the costs involved. Importantly, there will never be any hidden charges and you won't be charged extra for things like photocopying, printing, postage or routine telephone calls. There is absolutely no obligation for you to accept our offer, and you do not have to engage us to do any further work.
